Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Wednesday afternoon Year 5 were visited by Buckinghamshire Fire Service. Their visit was to teach us about fire prevention and safety. Within the session the fire fighters taught us about the main causes of fire, how to call 999, the stop, drop and roll technique and also how to create our own escape plan. The engaging and interactive session allowed us to understand just what to expect if we were ever to call 999 and taught us the key information we must relay to the call handler when we make this call. Within their homework this week, Year 5 have been given their own ‘Make Your Own Escape Plan’ which they can draw a plan of their home and identify a main and alternative exit route in event of a fire.
