Reading and Phonics:

• A reading book will be set online on our Collins Ebook webpage weekly (on a Friday) - you will be provided with your own log in to access this.​

• A second reading book for pleasure will also be sent home for children to practise their early reading or be read to by an adult. ​

• Reading records need to be signed weekly and handed in with books on a Thursday and handed back out on a Friday.​

• Worksheet will be sent home either printed or via Google Classroom to show focus of Phonics the following week for you to practise and support in line with their phonics knowledge.​

• Lexia to be accessed and used for at least 40 minutes at home- you will be provided with your own log in to access this.

Spellings:

A set of spellings will be set for every half term, the links can be found below.

The children will be tested on these spellings during the following weeks:

Autumn 1: Week commencing Monday 16th October 2023

Autumn 2: Week commencing Monday 11th December 2023

Spring 1: Week commencing Monday 5th February 2024

Spring 2: Week commencing Monday 25th March 2024

Summer 1: Week commencing Monday 20th May 2024

Summer 2: Week commencing Monday 8th July 2024

Mathematics:

• A mathematics activity will be set weekly and uploaded onto Google Classroom for children to complete. ​

This is likely to consist of basic mathematical skills & concepts such as: counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s; number bonds; addition and subtraction facts.​

All home learning will be monitored and it is expected that this is completed and handed in on a Thursday so that new home learning can be allocated on a Friday via Google Classroom.
