When you're learning your spellings please make sure you complete the following tasks to demonstrate your understanding of not just the spelling but the word itself...
Identify what the spelling rule is- What is the root word? How has it changed?
What does the word mean? Use a dictionary to help you.
Write some extended sentences or a paragraph to show your understanding of the words in context.
Complete look, cover, say, write, check daily.
