• Mothering Sunday coffee morning

  It was lovely to see so many of you at our coffee morning to celebrate Mothering Sunday last week. I am sure you will agree all the children performed brilliantly. A super selection of poems, songs and research around Mothering Sunday and it's origins.  I would like to thank year 5 for serving the refreshments - hopefully there will be a few more mums being served tea and coffee in style this year!  We look forward to seeing you at our next coffee morning in June.

• Milton Keynes Music Festival

  Well done to all our amazing singers who attended the Milton Keynes Music Festival last Friday. The reports from the adjudicators were very complimentary, "The singing was superb".  The key Stage 1 choir came 3rd in the competition and received a commendation and the Key Stage 2 choir came 2nd and received a distinction. Well done to everyone you made your school and teachers very proud.  Thank you to Miss Thornton and Mrs Daggett for their hard work and also to all the parents who attended and supported the children. 

   

• Water Aid - Jars of Change

  This year for Lent Great Horwood School is supporting Water Aid and working with St James Church to fill jars full of change. We would like to fill our jar with change and would like all children, parents, grandparents and school staff to support this venture by donating all your loose change. 

   

  The jar and additional information can be found in the school playground in a morning and at the end of the day.
