Acorns have been busy this week exploring birds! In preparation for The Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend, we have made bird feeders to put in our playground! We have also been watching a birdwatching live cam to spot the different birds and, have explored the life cycle of a Robin! We can't wait to see if they have enjoyed the feeders next week!  🕊🔭🦅

This week, Acorns and Conkers were extremely lucky to have Rosanna, one of our parents who is a nurse, visit us! She told us all about her job and what she does to help us and our community. We were able to use some of her nurse equipment and, were taught how to use bandages. We had lots of fun wrapping one another up in bandages- we're now experts! 👩‍⚕️🌡🚑

In Acorns this week, we have been exploring 'Chinese New Year!' ㊙️🐉 We have loved exploring how and why Chinese New Year is celebrated including; eating spring rolls, prawn crackers and noodles; creating a Chinese parade using instruments and our bodies; making Chinese lanterns; drawing rabbits because it is the year of the rabbit and, writing Chinese numbers in glitter. We have loved exploring a different culture! 

Alongside this, we were very lucky to have a visit this week from a prison officer who spoke to us about what they do to help us in our learning of our topic 'People who help us!' 👮‍♀️
