Mrs Barnes
A little bit about Mrs Barnes
I’m a Mum of two very energetic, Disney loving girls and one very vocal cat! I enjoy crafting, especially sewing and crochet when I get time. As a family, we love music and holidays and the girls and I love baking together.
Some facts about me...
I’ve been a teacher for over 7 years but took some time out to be with the girls. I'm now excited to get back into the classroom! I recently learnt to play the piano, badly! I can't function without coffee.
Mrs Dumbarton
A little bit about Mrs Dumbarton
I have been teaching at Great Horwood since 2019 and have taught Year 5 and 6 as well as Year 3 and 4. I have a four year old Border Collie, called Nala. We love going out for long adventure walks at the weekend and climbed Mount Snowdon with her a couple of years ago!
I have recently completed Couch to 5K and I am super proud of myself for this!
During the last summer holiday I got married and became Mrs Dumbarton.
Mrs Thomson-Smith
A little bit about Mrs Thomson-Smith
I started at Great Horwood School in September 2023 and teach in Hawthorns class. I love working with the children in year 5 and 6. I am also a qualified teacher.
I have been on live TV 6 (Sky News and various current affairs programmes) times being interviewed about HS2 and the environment.
I appeared in the touring production of the musical "Evita" when it came to Milton Keynes.
When I was a student teacher I taught 15 Yr old Robbie Williams. He and his friends thought I was amazing, and he STILL owes me a piece of homework!
