Hot School Meals
At Great Horwood Church of England School we use Chartwells as our hot meal provider. Chartwells is a leading provider of catering services to schools and they are proud to have been awarded the contract for the schools in our trust (ODBST).
Each meal is freshly prepared and cooked on site by a team of chefs and kitchen staff and offers a healthy and tasty meal to support pupil's development in school.
There is a three-week rotating menu of nutritionally balanced meals with a choice of three different hot meals every day.
Parent Pay
We use an online cashless ordering system provided by Parent Pay which allows you to select the meals that your child enjoys and pay for them without the need for cheques or cash. the system us both secure and flexible and meal choices can be changed or cancelled at any point up to the cut of time of midnight on Tuesday for the following week.
Pupil Premium & Universal Infant Free School Meal Scheme
If you are in receipt of pupil premium or you are in Reception class, Years 1 and 2 and entitled to universal free school meals the cost of the meal is funded but you will still need to activate your parent pay account and select the food order of your choice for your child.
Ordering
All orders will need to be completed by midnightSunday one week prior to the actual consumtion week.

Sickness: A parent will need to call the Chartwells Customer Care Line on 07818944478 before 9.00am every day of the child's sickness. a credit will be given from the second day onwards.
School tripps and other cancellations: 48 hours notice before 9.00am prior to the event is required. The parent needs needs to call the Chartwells Customer Care line for the meal to be cancelled and a credit given.
